Managing ever increasing web speeds, web materials or ink/coating applications can result with extremely large and long dryer designs using conventional drying technologies. FlexAir’s exceptional drying effectiveness can adequately dry print resistant to ink picking in a relatively short distance. Recognizing that in certain instances the web can be folded back inside the dryer enclosure while zig-zagging across multiple idlers, very long web paths can be managed inside the frames of a FlexAir Tower Dryer by simply adding several idlers. Longer web paths provide more dwell time for the inks or coatings to cure increasing their cross-linking, pinning, and residual solvent migration.
